Owners Kyle Sherman and Eric have expanded their culinary empire with the opening of Hooked Island Grill – Cape Coral, situated at the intersection of SE 10th Place and SE 47th Terrace. Tomorrow marks their grand opening at 4 pm, following a successful soft opening that I had the pleasure of attending last night for a sneak peek.
The ambiance of the restaurant was impeccable, and the cuisine proved to be equally impressive. To start, I indulged in the Virginia Blue Point Oysters, which were a delectable delight, followed by the innovative Sushi Dog—a tantalizing combination of Spicy Crab Roll, Deep Fried Ahi Tuna, Spicy Mayo, Cucumber, Avocado, and Sweet Garlic Teriyaki wrapped in seaweed.
For my main course, I savored the Unicorn Fish, delicately encrusted with Almond & Coconut and accompanied by a luscious champagne cream sauce. Originating from the Pacific, the Unicorn Fish provided a delightful culinary journey. Meanwhile, my husband relished the Divers in Paradise—a symphony of (5) Diver Scallops served with House Au Gratin, Green Beans, Tomato, Bacon, and Jalapeno Cream Sauce. This dish was a standout, boasting a harmonious blend of sweetness and brininess with a luxurious, buttery texture reminiscent of lobster and crab.
The retractable blue lights adorning the ceiling added a touch of whimsy and sophistication to the dining experience. I must give a special commendation to our server, Erin, whose exceptional service and insightful recommendations enhanced our evening.
For those seeking a memorable dining experience in Cape Coral, I highly recommend paying a visit to the newest addition to the culinary scene—Hooked Island Grill. With its inviting ambiance, innovative cuisine, and attentive service, it’s sure to become a favorite destination for food enthusiasts.
